On Saturday, March 6th. John Hendee launched the new Servant Leader Training for the church leaders in the barrio and city churches. One hundred and fifty attended - more than expected! They were served lunch and John taught for several hours on the subject of Growth and God’s Discipline for John 15, Jesus’ parable of the vine and the branches. Mike thought it was a great beginning, and John felt like it went well.
Next month, on April 10, I will be teaching on the Inner Formation of the Servant Leader. Paul’s desire for the early disciples is that Christ be formed in them. He used the word transformed - changed from the inside-out - to describe the supernatural work of God in our inner person. How is Christ formed in us?

- By Reflecting His Heart - Learning to love God through prayer and praise and love our neighbor through developing a big heart By Reflecting His Mind - Learning to absorb the Word and speak with His authority.
- By Reflecting His Spirit - Learning to walk in the fullness of the Holy Spirit.
- By Reflecting His Hands and Feet - Learning to use our gifts to dispense Jesus' grace.
- By Reflecting His Body - Learning to love and serve the church, Christ's body, to function as a loving and healthy community, as we disciple the nations.
This teaching is intended to be a discipleship 101 type instruction with the hope that it is practical and transferable. Our hope is that Peruvian believers can take the training and share it with others easily.
So I am anxious to experience my first Servant Leader Training. Thank you for remembering me between now and then. I will write about it next month.
His Servant,
Tim Coop
